Goustolidi Grape
Goustolidi (Vostylidi), a white grape with a distinct character, is grown only on the Ionian islands Zakynthos and Kefalonia. It produces fatty wines with mature aromas, while staying suprisingly fresh.
White Wine "Γουστολιδι"
On board we serve the local wine "Γουστολιδι", which is made from the Zakynthian variety of Goustolidi. It has a bright lemony green color and complete fruity forward aromas. It leaves you with a full long lasting aftertaste. It is a great fresh light wine, with a smooth soft taste, which is why we selected it to be served on board. It is the perfect white wine to be enjoyed on one of our speedboats while cruising around the island.
Ktima Marinos Winery
We visited Ktima Marinos Winery, where the Goustolidi grape is grown and cultivated. Redon's long time friend, Nikos Marinos, is the owner of the winery and the estate has been in his family many generations. As we walked around the fields, he explained to us the uniqueness of the Goustolidi grape, and the pride he feels being able to grow it.
After the tour we had the pleasure of tasting several of the wines that were produced from Ktima Marinos Winery their Goustolidi grapes. Once we tasted the "Γουστολιδι" we knew that would be the perfect wine for us to serve on board. We are looking forward to welcome you on board and pouring you a glass of this delicious wine, sharing with you all the beauty Zakynthos has to offer.
